07 May 03 Clemens Markets, The officers and soldiers would like to thank you for the thoughtfulness and support you provided to us with these overwhelming care packages. The variety of supplies was useful to all. From the heat to the sandstorms, all the toiletries were definitely needed. I set the boxes up as a first come first serve and within an hour the supplies were quickly dwindling. Being on the constant go, mail can be slow, so soldier's packages can get lost or sent to the wrong place. Moving to a new area, post exchanges are minimal. We recently jumped to a new area and these supplies arrived at just the right time. Your thoughtfulness and consideration is an example for soldiers to know that we are being supported. We continue to restore a free Iraq, something America has had for quite some time. Many soldiers are away from family and friends for as long as a year. Knowing that they have the support from the home front is motivation enough. There have been struggles, but mail like this keeps us going. On behalf of the young men and women out here, I thank you for the support and generosity. We will continue to protect and serve our country. Many thanks from an Army of One.
